About Old Towne Family Child Care

Old Towne Family Child Care started out as Debbie's DayCare in January 1999. Shortly after my 2 year old niece came to live with me, I was blessed with the custody of my 8 month old great-nephew in August of 1997. I decided after raising one child as a single parent and working full time, I was going to do it different this time. I applied for a small family child care license and began to build my business. We have had our ups and downs but overall the last 6 years have been good to us. I have since adopted my nephew and gained legal guardianship of my niece. They are now 8 and 9 years old and love that Mom is home with them. They especially love the daycare kids. In January of 2003,I added to the back of my home and increased the size of my child care facility. In February we officially changed the name to Old Towne Family Child Care. I am located in historic, Old Towne Orange, near Chapman University. I am licensed for 12-14 and typically have 10-12 children in care. I currently have 2 wonderful assistants who work well with me. I have large indoor and outdoor play areas with toys and equipment to meet the needs of children birth to 6 years. I also provide appropriate curriculum for all children in our care. Meals and snacks are included in the weekly rate. I follow federal nutrition guidelines in planning meals for the children.
